Hi Leadership!
As we move into second semester, CommLink has a lot of freedom with our events,and we're looking for some creative event ideas. Ideally, we're looking to tie the event to some sort of fundraiser, but we're ruling out another Coin Wars style fundraiser, because it'll probably reduce the effectiveness of Movember Coin Wars. Please comment below with any ideas that you have!

One thing we thought of in my sophomore year (way back in 2012) was to give leg council a spirit week. This builds LEG's LEGitimacy (see what i did there :D) as well as giving leg a purpose second semester. That is something that you guys could work on.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, doing a drive that doesn't invovle money will be cool. You already have Pennies for Patients and had Movember Coin Wars, so maybe you could do something like One Warm Coat where you collect old clothes to donate.
Yea, I really like Arnav's idea of doing One Warm Coat. Any charity/drive really would be fun, and you should definitely make it into a class competition cause that made way more people participate from what I saw in Movember. And Lynbrook kids are competitive, so... :)
ReplyDeleteI know that we were hoping to have some sort of Love Week or Feel Good Week coming up and maybe we could tie a community outreach aspect into it such as donating to a particular cause. I was also talking to Anna about a possible rose gram idea that people could send during the week of Love Week. You could get Legislative Council members to volunteer to help out and package roses, which would tie together giving Leg something else to do and doing something for the school!
